Juan is a software architect and full-stack senior developer with 15+ years of experience designing and building software and data solutions.

Prior to joining Accial Capital, Juan was a co-founder and CTO of ARSI – a data & information technology allowing emerging market enterprises to automate and improve data-based decisions (on-going). At ARSI, Juan led business strategy and product development.

Before ARSI, Juan was a project leader at Magma Tools in software infrastructure for insurance companies.

Stephen has +13 years of experience in fund administration, fund accounting and client services in private and public markets across the financial services industry.

Prior to joining Accial, Stephen was AVP at Opus Fund Services, where he led engagements with private debt / specialty credit funds and private equity funds and led teams spanning five offices.

Prior to Opus, Stephen held multiple roles in fund accounting and client services at State Street and BNY Mellon.

Stephen has a BBS from the South East Technical University.

Ricardo has over 10 years of experience in law and transactions in emerging markets.

He started his career as lawyer in a well-recognized Mexican law firm in which he was involved in the M&A and corporate law. He then joined an international law firm (part of Dentons) where he was on the M&A and finance teams participating in several transactions including corporate finance, project finance and structured finance transactions, serving as an adviser to Mexican and international financial institutions and funds. Most recently, he worked at a boutique law firm in Mexico City where he was involved in the M&A and finance teams and where his main role was the negotiation, drafting and closing of structured facility agreements including the implementation of the local collateral packages and negotiation and management of workouts.

Ricardo lives in Mexico City, with his wife and kid.

Gustavo has 12 years of experience in the financial services industry. His career began at Saxo Bank, where he served as an Operations Assistant. Subsequently, he transitioned to Deutsche Bank, starting in the Corporate & Investment Bank within Corporate Finance. Leveraging his Nordic background, he collaborated with the largest Nordic corporations, providing a wide range of global corporate finance services.

In 2017, Gustavo advanced to Deutsche Asset Management (now DWS), where he focused on working with large institutional investors in the Nordic region. His role involved offering public and private market investments to clients in Sweden and Norway, eventually leading to his appointment as the country lead for Norway.

In 2021, Gustavo joined Candriam, a New York Life Investments Company, heading business development for the Nordic countries. Under his leadership, he successfully raised over EUR 400m in new assets across a diverse range of investment funds in both public and private markets.

Gustavo currently lives in Madrid, Spain, and holds a BSc in Business Administration and Sociology from Copenhagen Business School, an MSc in International Business from Copenhagen Business School, and an MA in International Business from the joint CEMS alliance with the Stockholm School of Economics and Copenhagen Business School.

Juan Francisco is a business strategist with a focus on scaling businesses in emerging markets. As Chief of Staff & Head of Strategy at Accial, he parachutes into complex business problems that range from capital raising to competitive intelligence to product and market development.

Prior to Accial, Juan Francisco served on all fronts of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, having worked in incubators, accelerators, venture capital firms and in operating roles within startups. He has experience building and leading teams, raising capital, reporting to senior management/boards, and managing strategic initiatives end-to-end.

Juan Francisco holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA from Universidad del Pacífico.

Carrie is an investment professional with a focus on financial inclusion in emerging markets. As Vice President of Risk, she monitors Accial’s investment portfolio and performs risk assessments for new investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Accial, Carrie worked with several impact funds investing in Africa, including Beyond Capital Ventures, CrossBoundary, and AfricInvest Financial Inclusion Vehicle. She also previously worked at Accion Center for Financial Inclusion, where she conducted research on gender and fintech. She began her career as a consultant at Cornerstone Research, where she performed economic and financial analysis for financial institutions.

Carrie holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in Economics from Boston College.

Alejandro is VP of Risk for LatAm at Accial. Before joining Accial, Alejandro served as Chief Product & Risk Officer at Flevo, a fintech platform revolutionizing the education industry in Latin America. Before that, he held Actuarial, Underwriting and Data Science roles at several Fintech, Insurtech and Financial Services companies including Flip, Cleer, Zurich Santander Insurance America and Experta Seguros.

Alejandro is an Actuary from Universidad de Buenos Aires, holds an MBA from Universidad Torcuato di Tella and a Master in Big Data Solutions from Universitat de Barcelona.

Febe is an investment analyst with experience working in the Southeast Asian startup ecosystem.

Previously, she was leading business development at ICS, an embedded lending startup, where she was responsible for designing new products and implementations.

Prior to that, she worked as strategy consultant with a primary focus on financial services clients at Deloitte Consulting. Her projects ranged from investment due diligence, M&A, and market entry strategy.

Febe holds Accounting and Finance degrees from University of Indonesia and is professionally trained in gender-lens investing by Financial Alliance for Women.

Ricardo is an investment analyst covering the Latin American startup ecosystem. Formerly, he was responsible for investment strategy at Kampachi Farms, an aquaculture startup. Prior to that he served as an analyst in the investment strategy and research team at Vector Casa de Bolsa where he was responsible for developing macroeconomic strategies implemented across the firm’s portfolios.

Ricardo holds an economics degree from the Johns Hopkins University.

Jorge is a Systems Engineer, with more than 15 years working in technical and data roles. Before joining Accial, in 2019, Jorge worked as Data Engineer for EFL in Peru.

Jorge has a Master in Information Technology Management from ESAN Graduate Business School and University Ramon LLull – La Salle.

Miriam is a Financial Administrator, specialized in Innovation. Since the beginning of her professional career, she has worked on several innovative business projects in multiple capacities including as a business consultant, business development manager, and project director. Prior to joining Accial Capital, Miriam worked with private investors, startups, fintechs and enterprises with innovation departments.

Miriam has an MBA from ITESM Guadalajara.

Cristian is a full-stack senior developer with 13+ years of experience designing and building software and data solutions. Prior to joining Accial Capital, Cristian was a co-founder and support manager of ARSI – a data & information technology allowing emerging market enterprises to automate and improve data-based decisions (on-going). At ARSI, Cristian led client care and product development. Before ARSI, Cristian was a senior developer and analyst at Magnus ERP where he oversaw several LATAM software development projects.

Hanif is Accial Capital’s Data Engineer with 3+ years of experience in Python programming and data solutions. He primarily creates an ETL pipeline for Accial Capital’s borrowers in Southeast Asia. Additionally, Hanif also manages information exporting processes to support investment and risk decisions.

Prior to joining Accial Capital, Hanif was a Machine Learning Engineer in S3 Innovate Pte Ltd, a big data and IoT company from Singapore, where he automated data extraction process with machine learning solutions. At the same time, Hanif is working with his brothers as Technical Lead of Guru Semua, a video-on-demand online education company. At Guru Semua, Hanif handles backend development as well as cloud deployment.

Hanif is an Information Technology Technician from Bina Nusantara University.

Florencia is an actuary from University of Buenos Aires and she is currently finishing her Data Science master at Austral University.

She has 5 years of experience in banking industry and worked as a Commercial Assistant and Marketing Analyst.

Florencia is part of the Risk Team as an Analyst. She evaluates potential portfolio companies and credit facility performance and generates reports.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her dog, exercising and looking at the stars.

John has over 6 years of experience in finance. He started his finance career in the banking sector. He then continued his professional career in finance working for companies in the airport services, education, agroindustry, telecommunications, and real estate sectors. Working for these companies he participated in the development of the strategic plan, preparation of the annual budget and its continuous monitoring, as well as making short and long-term projections. Most recently John led the evaluation of new investment plans through the development and automation of financial models.

John has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Universidad de Lima, He has postgraduate studies in finance, and he has passed the CFA level 1 exam.

In his free time, he likes to play soccer, ride his bike, run and read a lot.

Jorge has over 3 years of experience in areas of finance, risk, and economics. He started his professional career as a junior analyst in a consultant firm specialized in finance, corporate governance, and stock market studies. After this, he had a short experience in a regulatory public entity doing economic studies in market competition. Then, he worked in risks specifically in credit portfolio evaluation section at Banco de la Nacion, main public bank of Peru, for a year. Prior to joining Accial, he worked in a pricing transfer consultancy firm acquiring experience in financial modelling, tax consulting and compliance.

Jorge has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and has specializations in topics of corporate finance and investments.

Hammad has 10+ years of experience in building and managing data platforms & products. He is passionate about driving innovations and fostering a data-driven mindset in the organizations.

Prior to joining Accial, Hammad has worked with several startups in the MENA region, where he led multiple projects that provide data aggregations, self-serve data applications, and analytics for various products and stakeholders.

Hammad holds a master’s degree in project management and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

Juan Felipe has over 10 years of experience in law and transactions in Colombia and New York. He started his career as lawyer in Colombia in a well-recognized international law firm in which he was involved in the M&A, Corporate Law and Banking & Finance divisions. He then joined Colombia’s biggest and best ranked law firm where he was on the Banking and Finance team participating in several transactions including financial regulation, corporate finance, project finance and structured finance transactions, serving as an adviser to borrowers, sponsors and Colombian and international financial institutions and funds. For the last part of his career Juan Felipe worked for Colombia’s largest Merchant Bank where he worked as a special advisor to the Investment Banking Department.

Juan Felipe lives in Bogotá and serves as a teacher of Banking Law and Financial Regulation at Universidad del Rosario, one of Colombia’s top ranked institutions.

Juan Felipe has a bachelor’s degree in law from Universidad del Rosario where he graduated with honors, a Diploma Degree in Capital Markets from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a Masters in Advanced Corporate Law from University of Michigan where he graduated with honors receiving a Certificate of Merit Award.
