Ricardo Fernandez

Ricardo has over 10 years of experience in law and transactions in emerging markets. He started his career as lawyer in a well- recognized Mexican law firm in which he was involved in the M&A and corporate law. At this firm he participated in different type of transactions involving Mexican or foreign entities. He then joined an international law firm (part of Dentons) where he was on the M&A and finance teams participating in several transactions including corporate finance, project finance and structured finance transactions, serving as an adviser to Mexican and international financial institutions and funds. In the capacity Ricardo helped implement diverse structures with complex credit facility agreements and the security packages. He executed oversaw closing process including review of compliance with all Conditions Precedent to closing. Most recently he worked at a boutique law firm in Mexico City where he was involved in the M&A and finance teams and where his main role was the negotiation, drafting and closing of structured facility agreements including the implementation of the local collateral packages and negotiation and management of workouts. He also advised other firm clients on M&A processes.
He lives in Mexico City, with his wife and child.
